Red Fox Studio 1/48 Asphalt Diorama Base – NAVY offers a 380 × 320 mm surface for displaying a model. The dark asphalt carries the US NAVY lettering and a star-in-circle with side bars. The model is not part of the package.
The print reproduces a dark asphalt surface with lighter streaks. The main motif is the US NAVY lettering with a star-in-circle with side bars, rendered in a pale colour with a worn look. The base is therefore a natural match for models of US Navy aircraft.
The carrier board is 5 mm extruded PVC. The colour UV print with a relief-like effect has a semi-gloss surface which, according to the manufacturer, tolerates UV light and contact with paints and washes. The 380 × 320 mm area is sized for 1/48 scale, and the base is not linked to any kit manufacturer. It comes without a model.
