The AK-Interactive Muddy Ground (AK1221) is designed to simulate the classic brown muddy ground encountered in fields, forests or unpaved roads after a rain. It is an invaluable tool for modelers of historical equipment (e.g. from the Eastern Front), but also for fantasy and sci-fi players who want to place their heroes in a raw and harsh environment.

Thanks to its specific viscosity and colour, this texture instantly transforms a clean plastic base into a piece of realistic terrain. The muddy tone looks very natural and serves as a great base for further layering of vegetation or patina.

Product details and tips for working

The Wargame Terrains textures are developed for ease of application and high durability, which is key with game figures.

• Easy application. You can use it to create bumps, piles of packed dirt, or let it run off the edges of bases for a more dynamic look.

• Wet Mud Effect: The texture remains matte to semi-matte after drying. If you want to achieve the appearance of fresh, liquid and soaked mud, we recommend applying gloss varnish or special wet-effect products to selected areas.

• For maximum realism, "blend in" bunches of grass or add small stones to the wet texture. It also looks great in combination with vehicle ruts, which can easily be pushed into the soft texture before it dries.

• Durable: once cured, the surface is firm and won't fall off, ensuring your muddy bases will survive frequent battles on the gaming table.

Important note: The package does not contain paint or glue. Tools used in working with this acrylic can be easily cleaned with water until the texture dries.
