AK8208 Greenpower 2 Component Modeling Putty (2 × 10 cm) is a two-component epoxy putty that can be used to create missing parts, figure details, welds, sails, wiring, and other model elements. After thoroughly mixing both components, a sticky green mass forms with a working time of approximately 90 minutes.
For a smoother surface, the manufacturer recommends moistening or lubricating the tools continuously with water, oil, or petroleum jelly. A thin layer of talcum powder can reduce fingerprints or, conversely, help create texture. Changing the ratio of the components affects both the final hardness and the curing speed.
Recommended Procedure
- Measure out the required amounts of both components and mix them thoroughly until the mixture is an even green color.
- Press the mixture onto a clean surface and shape it with a moistened or greased tool.
- Finish the details within approximately 90 minutes.
- Leave the model undisturbed; the putty will reach its maximum hardness after approximately 24 hours.
