    Burt Rutan designed the Quickie in the late 1970s as a single-seat homebuilt aircraft. It has two wings in tandem, the front one carrying the main wheels at its tips, and a small engine that made it exceptionally economical.

    Kit Brengun BRS48012 is aimed at more experienced modellers looking for an unusual civil subject. In 1/48 scale it builds into a small but striking model that sits well alongside other experimental and sport aircraft.
