1/48 Mil Mi-8MT one-sided express fit mask for Trumpeter
ASK masks for the 1/48 Mil Mi-8MT plastic kit from Trumpeter come as a one-sided Express Fit set. The sheet covers the outer side of the large cockpit windows and smaller clear parts and adds circular and ring masks.
This is an in-house ASK design, drawn directly from the clear parts of the Trumpeter Mil Mi-8MT kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48185 from the SCALE MASK range, labelled Mi-8MT Hip-H on the packaging, carries five large cockpit window masks (1–5), shaped frame masks in pairs (6 and 7, 10 and 11, 14–17), the pair of masks 8 and 9 with an oval cut-out, the rectangular mask 12, circular masks 18 and 19 and ring masks in two sizes (21 and 22). The one-sided layout covers the outer face; the double-sided version is 200-M48186.
The Mi-8MT is a reworked version of the Mi-8 transport helicopter with Klimov TV3-117MT engines and dust shields in front of the intakes; for export it is designated Mi-17. With more than 17,000 built, the Mi-8 family is the world's most-produced helicopter. The masks are shaped for the Trumpeter Mi-8MT kit in 1/48 scale.
