1/48 Bell AH-1G double-sided express mask for Special Hobby
ASK masks from the Express range for the Special Hobby Bell AH-1G plastic kit in 1/48 scale are double-sided. Two identical mask sets cover the HueyCobra’s cockpit glazing inside and out.
ASK drew up the set itself, targeting the parts of the Special Hobby AH-1G HueyCobra kit in 1/48 scale. Set ASK 200-M48056 from the SCALE MASK range comes on two sheets, each with masks 1–10 for the panels of the tandem cockpit; the second set is intended for the inner side of the frames. Both sheets also carry a mask for clear part E1, and the first adds a WHEELS section with four circular D3 masks. The one-sided version is 200-M48055.
The HueyCobra was created in the mid-1960s as a quick answer to the need for an armed escort helicopter in Vietnam: its slim fuselage seated the pilot and gunner in tandem, with a weapons turret under the nose. The mask shapes follow the clear parts of the Special Hobby AH-1G kit in 1/48 scale.
