The crew consisted of 3 men (commander / gunner, driver and loader. In the tank program 41 of May 30, 1941, the demand for this vehicle is given as 3144 units. Production was planned to start in 1943 with an output of 100 units from April 1, 44 and from 200 pieces from April 1, 45.

Two experimental devices were manufactured by July 1, 42 and scanned for troop testing. On August 8, 1942, the 19th Panzer Division reported about the vehicles, but the report is lost.
