1/72 F4F-3 Wildcat™ Yellow Wing
F4F-3 Wildcat Yellow Wings 1:72: two colourful US Navy markings, canopy and wheel masks. 3D file code, not printed parts.
Arma Hobby 70091 F4F-3 Wildcat Yellow Wings is a plastic model kit in 1:72 scale. It represents the early fixed-wing Wildcat from the period when US Navy aircraft still wore yellow upper wings and colourful section markings. Alternative parts account for differences in engine cowling and cockpit glazing between early F4F-3 batches.
Decals offer two specific aircraft: BuNo 1850, 41-F-4 of VF-41 aboard USS Ranger in 1940, and BuNo 1880, 72-F-16 of VF-72 aboard USS Wasp in 1940–1941. Ranger’s green tail and Wasp’s black tail, combined with colourful bands, provide two distinctly different finishes. Canopy and wheel masks are included.
The instructions contain a download code for a resin 3D-printing file covering a seat with harness, exhausts, landing gear mechanism chains, levers and gun barrels. Physical prints are not included in the standard 70091 box; this extra is useful if you have access to resin printing.
The model requires assembly and painting. Modelling paints and cement are purchased separately.
