Hobby Boss 1/48 F-105G Thunderchief is a plastic kit of a two-seat Wild Weasel aircraft. The F-105G is the two-seat Thunderchief version for suppression of enemy air defences in the Wild Weasel role. It was converted from F-105F trainers, with the second crew member operating the electronic equipment used to locate surface-to-air missile radars.
According to the manufacturer the kit is highly detailed and includes armament. The decals cover F-105G 63-8321 of the 561st TFS / 388th TFW in 1973 and F-105F 63-8300 from 1967. The finished model is about 446 mm long; ModellFan magazine named it Model of the Year 2008. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
