1/32 P-39Q/N Airacobra Guns Set
Hobby 2000 1/32 P-39Q/N Airacobra Guns Set 3D-print is a 3D-printed add-on to the Bell P-39 Airacobra kit in 1:32 scale. The set contains accurately crafted weapons (guns and machine guns) for the P-39Q and P-39N variants, replacing standard plastic parts and increasing the detail of the model. Designed for advanced modelers who want to achieve a higher level of model fidelity.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter aircraft with an unusual concept - the engine mounted behind the pilot and the main armament (37mm cannon) firing through a hollow propeller shaft. The P-39Q and P-39N variants were among the most numerous versions produced. The P-39N was equipped with a 1200 hp Allison V-1710-85 and standard armament consisting of one 37mm M4 cannon, two synchronized .50 caliber (12.7 mm) machine guns in the nose and four .30 caliber (7.62 mm) machine guns in the wings. The P-39Q represented the pinnacle of the series' development, with an improved V-1710-85 engine and modified armament - instead of .30 machine guns in the wings, it carried four heavier .50 machine guns, greatly increasing firepower. These machines served primarily in the Soviet Air Force, where they were valued for low- and medium-altitude combat and support of ground troops.
The Hobby 2000 Guns Set replaces the plastic parts of the armament with more accurate 3D printed components that better capture the proportions, barrel details and surface texture of the actual weapons. The parts are designed to be installed in 1:32 scale P-39 Airacobra kits and are suitable for modelers who want to highlight the technical details of the cockpit and nose of the aircraft. The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
