Tyranids: Biovore

The Biovore is a bizarre bioengineered monstrosity of the Tyranid faction, one of the most feared threats in the Warhammer 40,000 galaxy. These creatures are not intended for direct close-quarters combat, but rather as living artillery – they launch so-called Spore Mines from their bodies, explosive spore mines that flood the battlefield and destroy enemy units from a distance. The Biovore thus provides crucial support for the swarm, capable of keeping the enemy under constant pressure and disrupting their advance.

The kit offers interesting build options. As well as the Biovore version, the same body can alternatively be assembled as a Pyrovore – an aggressive, fire-breathing beast designed to destroy enemies at closer ranges. Modellers can therefore choose which of the two units to include in their Tyranid army, or, thanks to the set’s generous contents, expand their collection to include both variants.

The model is designed in 1:56 scale, which is the standard for the Warhammer 40,000 game, and features a wealth of detail typical of the Tyranid aesthetic – chitinous armour, biological weapons and organic structures that will really stand out when painted and shaded in detail. The kit contains 37 plastic components, one 80 mm diameter Citadel base and three 25 mm diameter Citadel bases designed for spore mines.

The model is supplied unpainted and requires self-assembly, making it an ideal project for both players and collectors of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The pack does not contain the paints or glue required for assembly.
