Hobby 2000 80014 Masking Tape For Curves 2,5mm x 18m
Hobby 2000 80014 Masking Tape for Curves 2.5 mm x 18 m is a flexible modeling masking tape made of blue film. The narrow 2.5 mm width conforms well to curves and curved surfaces, where standard paper tape easily creases. The tight-fitting edge helps minimize paint bleed and create a clean transition.
What it’s good for
- curved camouflage lines, colored stripes, and rounded transitions
- masking aircraft fuselages, vehicle fronts, fuel tanks, wheel rims, and other rounded parts
- use with both a brush and an airbrush
Recommended Procedure
- Clean the surface and allow the primer to cure completely.
- Run the tape along the desired curve without pulling it too tightly, and press it down continuously, especially along the painted edge.
- Apply the paint in several thin layers. When spraying, direct the spray perpendicular to the surface or away from the edge of the mask.
- Remove the tape slowly at a low angle. On pigmented surfaces, first test adhesion in a less visible area.
