Fw190A Seat and Side Section Back Armour (w/o harness) 1/48 / for Tamiya kits

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A was one of the best protected Luftwaffe fighter aircraft of its time. The pilot's cockpit included a sophisticated system of passive protection: a steel rear armoured shield(Rückenpanzer) was placed behind the seat to protect the pilot's back and spine from missiles coming from behind, supplemented by seat sidewalls and an armoured headrest. This protection became a standard part of production from the first production versions and underwent successive modifications during the war. Pilots considered it a key element of survival, especially in encounters with heavily armed bombers or in rear hemisphere attacks.

The 1:48 scale CMK add-on provides a faithful reproduction of the seat with side sections and rear armour shield printed using 3D printing technology, which allows details (rivets, structural edges, mounting elements) to be captured with a precision that standard plastic kit parts cannot achieve. The kit is designed for Tamiya Fw 190A kits and replaces the corresponding plastic cockpit parts. The version without harnesses(w/o harness) is suitable for modelers who want to add harnesses separately - for example from photo-etched parts or their own production. The package does not contain paint or glue.
