The sets work through the bomber's interior from the flight deck via the nose interior and radio compartment to the waist gun positions; the nose interior matches the alternate nose from frame X. The undercarriage, exterior and bomb bay are covered by the follow-on Part II. The B-17F was the principal Flying Fortress version flown by the Eighth Air Force in its daylight raids over Europe in 1943 and differed from earlier versions in, among other things, its enlarged, nearly frameless Plexiglas nose.
The base plastic kit is not included.
