1/48 F4U-1D Corsair double-sided express mask for Tamiya
ASK masks from the Express range for the Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair plastic kit in 1/48 scale are double-sided. They mask the framed canopy inside and out, and the sheet adds circular masks.
The masks are ASK's own design, matched to the exact shape of the glazing in the Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair kit (1/48). Set ASK 200-M48054 from the SCALE MASK range contains outer masks for the individual panes of the windscreen and canopy and an INTERIOR section with masks 14–25 for the inner side of the frames. A separate strip carries three ring-shaped A17 masks and small masks for part A4.
With its distinctive inverted gull wing and Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial, the Vought F4U Corsair served with the US Navy, the US Marine Corps and Commonwealth air arms. The F4U-1D fought in the Pacific in the final phase of the Second World War. The mask shapes follow the clear parts of the Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair kit in 1/48 scale.
