1/48 Spitfire IX late / XVI recommended for Eduard / ICM
Yahu Models YMA4828 is a set of color etched 1:48 scale dashboards for Eduard and ICM Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX late version and Mk.XVI models. The parts are pre-coloured and feature JustStick technology, which allows direct assembly without the need for painting. The kit is designed to be glued together and the package contains no paint or glue.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX and Mk.XVI are among the most widely used and best known variants of the legendary British fighter aircraft. The late versions of the Mk.IX and the related Mk.XVI differed from their predecessors by, among other things, a modified instrument panel corresponding to the standards of the late war era of the RAF - with pneumatically operated flaps, a split cooling system and a typical arrangement of flight and engine instruments, which gradually became established during the development of the Spitfire. It is this instrument panel that is the centrepiece of Yahu Models' YMA4828 kit.
The kit features colorful etched brass sheet parts that faithfully reproduce the instruments, dials, bezels and cockpit markings in 1:48 scale. The parts are pre-painted directly by the manufacturer, eliminating the need to hand paint individual details. JustStick technology ensures that parts can be attached and seated directly onto the plastic base of the kit without glue - hence the name "ready to assemble". The kit is designed for Eduard and ICM (UA UK series) 1:48 scale kits and guarantees an exact fit without the need for modification.
For modellers who want to increase the level of cockpit detail without complex multi-hour repainting, YMA4828 provides a straightforward and result-convincing solution. The package does not include paint or adhesives.
