1/48 SH-2G Seasprite recommended for Kitty Hawk

The Kaman SH-2G Super Seasprite is a naval multirole helicopter that was developed as an upgrade to the older SH-2F series. The US Navy introduced it into service in 1993 and operated it until 2001, when it was replaced by more modern types. The machine was equipped with twin General Electric T700-GE-401 turboshaft engines, modern avionics including APS-143 search radar and sensors for anti-submarine and anti-submarine warfare. In addition to the US Navy, the SH-2G also served in export versions with the navies of Egypt, New Zealand and Poland. The helicopter's cockpit reflected the transition from analog instruments to the more modern concept of on-board electronics typical of naval helicopters of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

An addition by Yahu Model is the photo-etched cockpit instrument panel, which is colour printed directly onto the etched part - eliminating the need to hand paint individual dials and controls. The result is a significantly more faithful and detailed cockpit appearance compared to the standard plastic kit part. Recommended for Kitty Hawk 1:48 scale kit (cat.no. KH80126).
