Clear Prop's 1/35th scale Tu-143 Reys Television Reconnaissance is a Soviet TV reconnaissance drone used for real-time tactical reconnaissance. Kit includes detailed plastic parts, launch booster, parachute system and decals. Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Tu-143 Reys was a Soviet short-range unmanned reconnaissance aircraft developed in the 1970s for tactical reconnaissance behind enemy lines. The Television Reconnaissance variant was equipped with a camera system capable of transmitting real-time video to a ground station, enabling immediate analysis of the situation on the battlefield.
The aircraft was launched using a launch ramp and an auxiliary rocket motor, and after completing its mission, it descended to the ground by parachute. The Tu-143 was widely deployed by Warsaw Pact armies and also exported to other countries. It saw service in exercises, operational deployments, and conflicts, including missions in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
