1/35 T-70M Special Edition - Miniart
The T-70M Special Edition 1/35th scale model by MiniArt is a Soviet light tank from the second half of World War II, produced since 1943 as an improved version of the T-70 type. The kit includes plastic parts, detailed interior and accessories specific to the Special Edition. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Soviet T-70M light tank, produced from 1943, was a response to the inadequate performance of the older T-60 and T-70 tanks in combat against German armour. The improved "M" type brought a number of design changes, such as a redesigned hull, a larger turret for two crew members, and more powerful engines. Although the T-70M was a temporary solution, it took an active part in the fighting, particularly on the Eastern Front in 1943-1945, and formed the backbone of the Red Army's light units before the advent of the T-34 medium tanks.
The MiniArt 1/35 T-70M Special Edition kit offers a superbly executed model with a fully rendered interior including engine compartment, battle station and turret. This edition also includes extras such as crew figures, photo-etched parts, decals for several versions, and other odds and ends that greatly expand the possibilities in building and diorama creation.
The kit also includes photo-etched details, realistic strips, accurate decals for various queue variations, and optional parts reflecting the differences between production runs. The kit is primarily intended for advanced modelers looking for a historically accurate and technically sophisticated representation of Soviet WWII era armoured vehicles.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
