The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was one of the most important American fighter aircraft of the first half of World War II. The P-40N version, produced from 1943 onwards, represented the culmination of the development of the series and brought a number of improvements - a lighter design, a modified cockpit, a more powerful 1,200 horsepower Allison V-1710-81 engine, and an increased fuel supply. These modifications improved range and flight characteristics, allowing for wider deployment on both the Pacific and Asian theaters.

The P-40Ns served with the U.S. Air Force and Allied forces under the Lend-Lease program, including British, Australian, and New Zealand units, where they became especially famous in combat against the Japanese. Although by the time of its creation the P-40 was losing pace with more modern types such as the P-51 Mustang, it remained popular for its reliability, durability and ease of maintenance.

Eduard's 1/48 scale kit offers precise moldings with fine surface detail, realistically rendered cockpit, landing gear, engine cowling and distinctive Warhawk shapes. With accurate construction, high quality decals and a choice of several camouflages, it is the ideal choice for modelers interested in WWII Allied fighters.

The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
