Humbrol RC418 EWS Red is a water-based Humbrol acrylic paint with a matt finish. This authentic British railway colour is suitable for locomotives, rolling stock, railway structures, retouching, weathering and drybrushing.
It is suitable for most modelling plastics and, after a test application, for wood, metal, glass, ceramics and card. Stir thoroughly before use. Apply directly by brush; two thin coats give a better result than one heavy coat.
How to use
- Type: water-based acrylic paint

- Brush: apply in thin coats, straight from the pot or slightly thinned
- Airbrush: Humbrol's starting ratio is 2 parts paint to 1 part Humbrol Acrylic Thinner; adjust for nozzle and pressure
- Drying: about 1–2 hours to hard dry; allow longer for gloss and metallic colours
- Cleaning: water or Humbrol Acrylic Thinner while the paint is wet
