Making a ground that is wet but not downright muddy is an important detail in modelling. AK-Interactive Wet Ground (AK1230) offers exactly this effect. Unlike conventional dry soil, this texture has a deep, dark brown tone that faithfully mimics water-saturated soil. It is the perfect choice for rendering autumn battlefields, deep forests or areas of high humidity.

This texture is indispensable for:

• Historical modelling: scenes of rainy Normandy, morning mists on WWI battlefields or Vietnamese jungles.

• Wargaming: bases for armies operating in swampy areas or rainy industrial zones.

• Diorama: Depictions of stream banks, around wells, or roads after a storm.

Product details and tips for working

The Wargame Terrains range of textures are developed for ease of application and a high visual standard that can withstand frequent handling during play.

• Easy application: apply the texture with a spatula or old brush. You can use it to create uneven terrain or apply it in a thinner layer for a dust-soaked effect.

• The texture has a natural satin to slightly glossy finish when dry. If you want to further enhance the wet effect, we recommend creating depressions in some areas and applying gloss varnish or AK8028 Puddles to create realistic puddles.

• Combination: the wet ground looks fantastic in combination with our Muddy Ground textures (for transitions into deeper mud) or with dark green moss(AK8131 Dark Green Moss).

• Cleaning: tools used in working with this acrylic can be easily cleaned with plain water before drying.

Important note: The package does not contain paint or glue. The product is ready to use but can be further tinted with washes or pigments to represent specific soil types.
