AK Interactive AK8040 Corrosion Texture (100 ml) creates a scale-appropriate texture of corroded metal without coarse particles that would look unnatural on the model. Suitable for exhaust pipes, armor, wrecks, railings, pipes, and metal structures.
Recommended Procedure
- Clean the surface, prime it, and apply a base coat of a rusty shade.
- Apply the texture with an old brush in a thin, irregular layer. Build up thicker layers gradually.
- Once completely dry, add various shades of rust using pigments, washes, or a light drybrush.
- Wash tools with water before they dry.
