AK Terrains Wet Crackle Effects - (acrylic) (100 ml)
AK Interactive AK8034 Wet Crackle Effects (100 ml) is an acrylic crackle effect for creating a wet, cracked earth surface with a wet appearance. It is applied in a thin layer to a dry acrylic base; the thickness of the layer affects the size and character of the cracks.
AK Interactive AK8034 Wet Crackle Effects (100 ml) creates a damp, cracked soil surface with a wet appearance. Suitable for dioramas, vignettes, figure bases, wargaming terrain, and the undersides of vehicles where a cracked layer of soil is intended.
Recommended Procedure
- Paint the surface with acrylic paint and let it dry completely. The base color will be visible through the cracks.
- Gently stir the product before use and apply it in an even, thin layer. Do not spread the product further after application.
- The thickness of the layer determines the size of the cracks: a thinner application creates a finer network, while a thicker layer produces more pronounced cracking.
- Let it dry naturally or carefully speed up the process with a hair dryer. Too strong a stream of air can displace the wet layer.
- Once completely dry, the surface can be further enhanced with pigments, washes, or drybrushing.
