AK Interactive AK012 Streaking Grime (35 ml) is an enamel modeling effect. Color: dirty brown, slightly greenish in the bottle. It is designed for creating a universal, runny dirt effect on dark yellow, gray, and other surfaces. The current formula may appear slightly greenish in the bottle, but it remains predominantly brown after drying. Volume: 35 ml.
AK Interactive AK012 Streaking Grime (35 ml) Creates realistic vertical streaks of running dirt and localized deposits. The dirty brown shade—which appears slightly greenish in the bottle—is designed for versatile use as running dirt on dark yellow, gray, and other surfaces. The current formula may appear slightly greenish in the bottle, but it remains predominantly brown after drying.
Unlike a wash, this effect is not applied uniformly to all joints. It is used to specifically depict dirt, moisture, or operational deposits, and its shape is created by subsequent blending.
Recommended Procedure
- Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
- Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface. For unknown combinations of paints and varnishes, first test on a hidden area.
- Using a fine, pointed brush, draw short, irregular vertical lines starting from the upper edges and details. You can leave some of the product in the corners to simulate accumulated dirt.
- Let it dry for about 10 minutes. Then, using a clean flat brush lightly dampened with White Spirit, brush from top to bottom to soften the lines until a natural transition is achieved.
- Vary the length, thickness, and intensity of the strokes. Once dry, you can reinforce selected stripes with another thin layer.
- Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or additional enamel effects.
Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for blending and removing excess paint. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
