AK Interactive AK027 Slimy Grime Light (35 ml) is an enamel modeling effect. Color: light green. It is intended for lighter-colored or drying moss, lichens, algae, and traces of moisture on ships, wood, vegetation, rocks, and terrain. It can be combined with the darker variant, AK026, to create transitions between fresh and drying vegetation. Volume: 35 ml.
AK Interactive AK027 Slimy Grime Light (35 ml) Used to create traces of moss, algae, and a slimy surface caused by prolonged moisture. The light green shade is intended for lighter or drying moss, lichens, algae, and traces of moisture on ships, wood, vegetation, rocks, and terrain. It can be combined with the darker variant, AK026, to create transitions between fresh and drying vegetation.
Unlike a wash, this effect is not applied uniformly to all crevices. It is used to selectively depict dirt, moisture, or operational deposits, and its shape is created by subsequent blending.
Recommended Procedure
- Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
- Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface. If you’re unsure about a combination of paints and varnishes, test it first on an inconspicuous area.
- Apply the product directly from the bottle using a fine brush around details, into joints, and in areas where water collects.
- Before the edges are completely dry, soften them with a clean brush dampened with White Spirit. Create irregular patterns and thin streaks; a solid green area does not look natural.
- Once dry, you can add a second shade of Slimy Grime or a localized wet effect to create a contrast between fresh and drying areas.
- Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or additional enamel effects.
Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for blending and removing excess. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
