AK Enamel Effects Moss Deposit (35 ml)

AK Interactive AK676 Moss Deposit (35 ml) Creates a green, textured layer of moss and lichen and is designed to depict moss, lichen, and other green organic growth on vehicles, buildings, rocks, bases, and dioramas. The higher concentration and texture are intended for accumulated deposits, not just for shading details. The textured formula creates an authentic organic surface and can be combined with other shades for a more natural result.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly. Work on a dry, clean, and fully cured painted or varnished surface.
2. Using a small brush with stiffer bristles, apply the product directly from the bottle only to areas where deposits naturally accumulate. Use a dabbing motion to create an irregular texture.
3. Create the highest concentration in damp, shaded, and low-traffic areas: in joints, at the base of walls, around stones, or on equipment that has been out of use for a long time.
4. For a more natural, organic look, adjust the intensity of the green with another shade, pigment, or a very thin glaze. Do not apply the moss in a regular pattern.
5. Tweak the edges and any excess with a clean brush lightly dampened with White Spirit or Odorless Thinner. Leave part of the texture sharp and part blending smoothly into the surroundings.
6. Build up the effect in several localized layers. Add another shade or layer only after the previous one has dried.
7. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying a topcoat or another enamel effect.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for thinning, softening edges, and removing excess paint. AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is suitable for finer work and reduced odor.
