AK Enamel Effects Light Rust Deposit (35 ml)

AK Interactive AK4111 Light Rust Deposit (35 ml) Creates a light orange-rust-colored textured coating and is designed to depict fresher and lighter rust crusts, highlight edges, and accentuate the most prominent areas of corroded surfaces. The higher concentration and texture are intended for accumulated deposits, not merely for shading details. It is part of the Crusted Rust Deposits system; it works best as the lightest accent over medium and dark rust shades.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly. Work on a dry, clean, and fully cured painted or varnished surface.
2. Using a small brush with stiffer bristles, apply the product directly from the bottle only to areas where deposits naturally accumulate. Use a dabbing motion to create an irregular texture.
3. Apply the dark shade to recesses and old rust, use the medium shade as the main rust layer, and apply the light shade only to selected edges and fresher rust crusts.
4. Apply the individual shades irregularly and do not leave regular boundaries between them. On vertical surfaces, you can add subtle rust streaks.
5. Clean up the edges and excess paint with a clean brush lightly dampened with White Spirit or Odorless Thinner. Leave part of the texture sharp and part blending smoothly into the surrounding area.
6. Build up the effect in several localized layers. Add another shade or layer only after the previous one has dried.
7. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying a topcoat or another enamel effect.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for thinning, softening edges, and removing excess paint. AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is suitable for finer work and reduced odor.
