A6M5 Zero Type 52a 1/48
Eduard 1/48 A6M5 Zero Type 52a is a model of Japanese WWII fighter. The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a symbol of the Japanese naval aviation and the Type 52a version, introduced in 1943, was one of the most widely used variants of this legendary aircraft.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero became one of the most famous aircraft of World War II and a legend of the Japanese naval aviation. First appearing in 1940, it managed to dominate most Allied fighters at the start of the war thanks to its lightweight design, long range and excellent maneuverability. It was deployed in the attack on Pearl Harbor, the battles of the Philippines, Malaya and the Battle of Guadalcanal.
As the war progressed, however, its weaker armour protection and vulnerability to more modern Allied machines began to show. In response, an improved version , the A6M5 Type 52a, was developed and entered service in 1943. With shortened wings, a more powerful engine and strengthened construction, it was faster and more durable than previous variants. These machines took part in combat in the later stages of the war, such as the Marianas and Philippines, and were among the most numerous Zeros.
Eduard's 1/48 scale kit offers a detailed rendition of the A6M5 Type 52a with authentic shapes, fine surface details and attractive decals. The model allows you to build one of Japan's most famous fighters in its later wartime form and is an ideal choice for anyone interested in Pacific aviation.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
