1/48 Spitfire F.Mk.XVIII one-sided mask self-adhesive, pre-cut for Airfix
ASK masks in a one-sided pre-cut version, made for the Airfix Spitfire F.Mk.XVIII in 1/48 scale. Masks 1–8 cover the outside of the windscreen and teardrop canopy, and circular masks complete the set.
This set is ASK's own design, cut to the shapes of the clear parts in the Airfix kit in 1/48 scale. One-sided set ASK 200-M48104 (SCALE MASK) has masks 1–8 for the outer side of the clear parts on one sheet, together with a vertical strip of circular masks marked with the Airfix kit part numbers (D03, D04, D37). The double-sided version, with masks for the inner side too, is 200-M48105.
The Spitfire F.Mk.XVIII was a late Griffon-engined Spitfire version. It arrived too late for the Second World War; after the war it served with RAF squadrons in the Middle and Far East, seeing limited action against guerrillas in the Malayan Emergency. The masks are shaped for the Airfix plastic kit in 1/48 scale.
