1/48 AF-2 Guardian one-sided fit express mask for Special Hobby
ASK masks for the Special Hobby AF-2 Guardian in 1/48 scale, in the one-sided self-adhesive Fit Express version. They cover the outer side of the cockpit glazing and windows and include large circular masks.
ASK designs the masks specifically for the parts of the Special Hobby AF-2 Guardian kit in 1/48 scale. The Grumman AF Guardian was the US Navy's first carrier aircraft built specifically for anti-submarine warfare. It flew in hunter-killer pairs: the AF-2W with search radar located the target and the armed AF-2S attacked it. It entered service in September 1950 and left front-line duty in 1955.
Sheet ASK 200-M48163 from the SCALE MASK range contains masks 1–15 for the outer side: shaped windscreen and frame masks (1–5), the large rectangular masks 6 and 8, the narrow masks 7, 9 and 15, the small masks 10–12 and four small circular masks 13. Four large circular masks, 14, complete the sheet. The masks fit the Special Hobby kit in 1/48 scale; the double-sided version is 200-M48164.
