ASK 1/32 Spitfire Mk.I early part 2 – RAF aces 1938 / 1939 is a decal set for three pre-war Spitfire Mk.Is of future RAF aces: Farquhar, Tuck and Unwin.
This 1/32 Art Scale sheet contains K9962 "LO-A" of S/Ldr Andrew Farquhar, CO of No. 602 Squadron (RAF Abbotsinch, May 1939), K9906 "FZ-L" of F/O Robert Stanford Tuck, No. 65 Squadron (RAF Hornchurch, summer 1939), and K9797 of Sgt George Unwin, No. 19 Squadron, with a red 19 on the rudder (RAF Duxford, October 1938).
In 1938 No. 19 Squadron became the first RAF unit to receive the Spitfire. Robert Stanford Tuck went on to become one of the best-known RAF fighter aces of the war. The 1/32 Spitfire Mk.I plastic kit is sold separately.
If necessary, the decal carrier varnish can be removed by washing it off with Zippo lighter fluid.
