1/72 P-47C-2 "Thunderbolt"
KPM 1/72 P-47C-2 "Thunderbolt" is an early model of the famous American fighteraircraft, which was one of the most robust and powerful types of World War II. The C-2 version was one of the first operational modifications deployed in Europe and at home bases. The kit offers accurate shapes, fine paneling and authentic details of this early form of the "Jugger".
The Republic P-47C-2 Thunderbolt was an early developmental stage of one of the most famous American fighter aircraft of World War II. This version retained the characteristic rugged construction, Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine, and superior durability that made the Thunderbolt a favorite of USAAF pilots. The C-2 was one of the first production variants deployed in Europe, where it served in bomber escort, tactical strikes, and gradually developed into one of the key fighter platforms of the Allied air forces.
The Prostějov Kovozávody 1/72 scale kit depicts an early version of the P-47C-2 with precisely executed fuselage, wing and tail surfaces and finely engraved paneling. It features a detailed cockpit, realistic undercarriage and armament to match this early configuration. With clean moldings and good fusing, it is suitable for both stand-alone display and as a complement to dioramas depicting the U.S. Air Force during the first phase of P-47 deployment in Europe.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
