1/72 MiG-21F-13 "Export version" - KPM0504 Kovozávody

The MiG-21F-13 was the first truly mass-produced version of the famous Soviet MiG-21 fighter, which became the most widely used supersonic aircraft in the world. This version featured a simple and lightweight fuselage with a delta wing, a single-seat configuration, a single 30mm NR-30 cannon, and the ability to carry a pair of K-13 air-to-air missiles. The MiG-21F-13 had no radar and was primarily designed for direct visual ambush and combat.

The machine was exported to a number of countries as part of the Soviet Union's military cooperation, and during the 1960s it appeared in Egypt, India, China, North Korea, Czechoslovakia, and Indonesia, to name a few. Despite its limited equipment, it was the first supersonic machine for many countries and marked a major shift in their air defence capabilities.

The 1/72 scale KPM0504 kit by Kovozávod Prostějov offers a detailed representation of theof the export variant, including the distinctive nose with a high-rise visor and aerodynamically clean fuselage. Included are decals for several users of this version - aimed specifically at export deployment outside the Soviet Union, giving the opportunity to create a model in less common camouflage and markings.
