Special Hobby's Meillerwagen V-2 Transporter in 1/72 scale captures the key transport and launch vehicle of the German V-2 ballistic missiles. This specially designed trailer was part of a mobile launcher system that allowed the missiles to be efficiently moved and prepared for launch in field conditions. The Meillerwagen was used to transport the missiles from the Vidalwagen trailer to the launch pad and then to position them vertically using a hydraulic system.
Thanks to this system, the German Army could carry out rapid rocket attacks without the need for permanent launchers. The Meillerwagen was deployed primarily in Western Europe in 1944-1945, where it enabled the deployment of V-2 missiles against targets in England and Belgium.
