1/72 Hetzer Exterior Detail Set for Vespid Model kits

The Jagdpanzer 38 "Hetzer" (hunting tank) was a light tank fighter developed by Germany in the final phase of the 2. World War II as a rapidly producible and economically affordable answer to the growing need for mobile anti-tank defence. The design was based on the chassis of the Czechoslovak-built Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) tank and was fitted with a 75mm PaK 39 L/48 anti-tank gun in a low, well-protected casemate superstructure. Thanks to its sloping armour, compact dimensions and low the Hetzer was both a difficult target and an effective opponent for Allied tanks. It was produced from 1944 mainly at the ČKD plant in Prague and over 2,800 units were completed. The Hetzer was used on all fronts in the final phase of the war and its design influenced the post-war development of light combat vehicles in Czechoslovakia and Switzerland.

The 1:72 scale CMK resin add-on set is designed for the Hetzer kit by Vespid and offers detailed exterior upgrades. Typically includes elements such as tool handles, ropes, hooks, exhaust system details, chassis elements (e.g. guide wheels, tensionersantenna bases, fan covers, or small elements of the cassemate that the plastic kit either does not include at all or has simplified. Resin parts excel in fineness of casting and allow the modeler to achieve a higher level of detail, especially when using highlighting and patination techniques. Working with resin requires careful separation of the parts from the casting blocks, cleaning and bonding with a suitable adhesive (cyanoacrylate or epoxy). The kit is suitable for more advanced modelers who want to give their Hetzer model an authentic and detailed look consistent with historical photographs.

The package does not include the basic Vespid Hetzer kit, paints or glues needed for assembly.
