1/72 EoN Eton TX.1 / SG-38 ‘Over Western Europe’

Model EoN Eton TX.1 / SG-38 'Over Western Europe' in 1/72 scale by Special Hobby offers the possibility to build two legendary traininggliders that played an important role in training pilots in the UK and other Western European countries.

The SG-38 Schulgleiter was a German school glider designed in the late 1930s . It was widely used by the Luftwaffe and other European air forces for basic pilot training. After World War II, many of these machines were captured and modified for civilian and military use.

The British version, the EoN Eton TX.1, was developed by Elliotts of Newbury (EoN) as an upgraded variant of the SG-38. It served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a basic trainer glider and was used until the 1950s.

The package includes precision moulded plastic parts to allow assembly of both variants, with detailed tubular fuselage construction. Also included are clear parts for a realistic representation of the instrument panel and high quality decals with historical markings for the RAF, Luftwaffe and other European air forces.
