The Conroy Tri-Turbo-3 represents one of the most significant conversions of the famous Douglas DC-3 transport aircraft that took place in the United States in the 1970s. Conroy Aircraft converted the classic twin-engine machine into a three-engine turboprop aircraft, with the goal of extending the operational life of the original machines. The aircraft was powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines, which improved performance and operating economy.
