The Supermarine Seafire Mk.15, introduced into service in 1945, was one of the advanced variants of the British naval fighter based on the Spitfire design. The Mk.15 version was equipped with the Rolls-Royce Griffon engine, which provided significantly more power than earlier versions. The aircraft was adapted to the rigours of airborne operations, including a reinforced structure, folding wings and an ejection hook.
The French Navy (Aéronavale) classified the Seafire Mk.15 to its armament after World War II, where the aircraft served in a variety of missions, including patrol and attack operations. The Seafire's speed and manoeuvrability earned it recognition as an effective machine suitable for a wide range of naval tasks.
Special Hobby's 1/48 scale model depicts this variant in detail, including authentic French Navy markings. It is ideal for modelers interested in post-war naval aviation.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed to assemble the model.
