The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a legendary French single-engine fighter aircraft that was built in the 1970s as a successor to the Mirage III. The Mirage 2000D-5i version is an upgraded variant designed for multi-role deployment with enhanced air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities. The Taiwanese Air Force (ROCAF) became a major foreign user of the Mirage 2000, entering service in the 1990s as part of the island's air defence. With higher generation radars and the ability to use advanced weaponry, the Mirage 2000 remains an important part of the ROCAF's arsenal to this day.
