1/48 Messerschmitt 262 HGIII Entwurf III - Amusing Hobby
Amusing Hobby 1/48 Me 262 HG III Entwurf III is a plastic kit of a hypothetical version of the German Me 262 jet aircraft from the end of WWII. This design (Entwurf III) was part of a series of high-speed HG projects that were intended to push the flight characteristics of the original machine even further.
The Messerschmitt Me 262, the world's first production jet fighter, was a revolutionary aircraft, but its development continued during production. The HG - Hochgeschwindigkeit (High Speed) programme produced a number of proposals to increase the speed and improve the aerodynamics of the machine.
The Me 262 HG III Entwurf project represented one of the most advanced studies. It featured a newly shaped fuselage, a modified wing with a larger swept angle and a differently designed tail section. The aim was to achieve even higher speeds and better stability at high flight levels. However, this design never reached the prototype stage and remained only in the form of drawings.
