Hobby Boss 1/48 F4U-4 Corsair Late is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The F4U-4 was the last major wartime Corsair version, powered by an uprated R-2800 driving a four-blade propeller. It remained in US Navy and US Marine Corps service after the war and flew close support missions in Korea.
Ten grey sprues and one clear sprue carry around 300 parts according to the manufacturer. The wings can be built spread or folded, and the canopy, gun bay doors with interior detail, control surfaces and multi-segment flaps are all positionable. Stores comprise eight HVAR rockets and two drop tanks, while the decals cover two US Marine Corps Corsairs from USS Sicily and USS Bataan in 1951 and 1952. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
