1/48 Douglas A-4N Skyhawk "AYIT" Early

The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, designed in the 1950s as a light and simple deck bomber, became one of the most successful jets of its category. Its reliability, low cost, and ease of maintenance have made it widely available in many countries around the world. Israel has received the A-4N variant since the early 1970s, where it bore the name "Ayit" (Eagle). These machines were soon involved in intense combat, especially during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, where they played a vital role in strikes against ground targets and providing direct air support.

The A-4N variant was equipped with enhanced avionics, modified armament and design features adapted to the requirements of the Israeli Air Force. Although it was a relatively small and light aircraft, the Skyhawk earned a reputation as a tenacious fighter and became a symbol of the Israeli Air Force during the 1970s and 1980s.

The 1/48th scale Hobby 2000 kit offers a detailed model of an early version of the A-4N Ayit. The base features proven Hasegawa molds complete with resin nozzle and cannons, 3D printed parts and high quality decals by Cartograf. Also included are masks to make it easier to work with the cockpit overlay and other clear parts. The combination of detailing and accessories allows the kit to create an authentic model of the Israeli Skyhawk as it was carried during early service.

The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
