The Mitsubishi A5M was Japan's first mass-produced fighter monoplane with a fixed undercarriage and open cockpit, entering Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force service in 1936. The A5M2 version was an improved variant with a more powerful engine and became one of Japan's main deck-based fighters during the Sino-Japanese War. Although the A5M was already obsolete by the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor and was gradually being replaced by the A6M Zero, it left a distinctive mark on Japanese military aviation history as the foundation upon which an entire generation of Japanese fighter pilots grew up.

Yahu Model YMA4843 is a photo-etched cockpit instrument panel designed for the 1:48 scale Wingsy Kits kit. The accessory is made of chemically etched metal and features full-color printing directly on the surface of the part, so it faithfully reproduces the placement, shape and graphics of the individual instruments without the need for painting or decals. The result is a significantly more faithful and plastic cockpit appearance compared to the standard plastic part from the base kit. The package does not contain glue or paint.
