This 1/35th scale add-on set represents the late type of OMSh tracks used on Soviet T-54, T-55 and T-62 medium tanks from the second half of the 1950s. OMSh ("Odnozhilchataya Mekhanicheskaya Sborka") was a classic type of steel tracks with a pin joint and closed tooth that proved to be durable and was deployed both in the Soviet Army and in export variants of these tanks around the world. The later type was characterized by a slightly modified link profile and higher reliability in long-term operation.
MiniArt offers this kit as a highly detailed replacement for the standard tracks included in the kits. Each link is self-contained and allows for realistic belt sag on the tank chassis. Surface texture includes details of wear, casting and connecting pins. The belts can be assembled in tensioned or naturally loose form depending on the type of vehicle or situation in the diorama. The kit is compatible with most 1/35 scale T-54, T-55 and T-62 models, especially from MiniArt, but also from other manufacturers.
