1/35 Sd.Kfz.251/1/Ausf.D
Border Model 1/35 Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.D is a detailed model of a German World War II armored personnel carrier. This late version was deployed on all fronts from 1943 onwards and was used to transport infantry as well as the basis for various specialised variants. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
The Sd.Kfz.251 was the most widely used German World War II half-track transporter, produced in more than 15,000 units. The Ausf.D version was introduced into production in 1943 as a simplified variant to facilitate and speed up production. The transporter was primarily used to transport infantry squads directly to the battle line, where it provided partial protection from fire and, thanks to its tracked chassis, high ground clearance.
The Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.D was deployed on all fronts until the end of the war and became an iconic symbol of German armoured divisions. This machine was also the basis for many other versions, including anti-tank, engineer or command vehicles.
