1/24 P-51D early recommended for Airfix
Yahu Models 1/24 P-51D early (recommended for Airfix North-American P-51D Mustang early) is a prepainted etched cockpit instrument panel for Airfix 1:24 scale kits. The panel has fine readable alarms, crisp labels and a realistic appearance and is ready for direct installation using the JustStick method. An ideal interior upgrade that is immediately visible on the finished Mustang.
The North-American P-51D Mustang is one of the most famous fighter planes of World War II, and the large 1:24 scale scale makes every detail of the cockpit stand out. The instrument panel is the "center of the cockpit" - when viewed through the cockpit overlay, it is the first thing the eye catches. If you want the interior to look believable and not like a uniformly painted plastic, a quality instrument panel is one of the most effective additions.
The Yahu Models kit includes a pre-painted etched instrument panel for the P-51D early version. The etching is factory finished (colorful, with sharply drawn dials, subtle labels and a realistic look evokes), eliminating the tedious manual repainting of small instruments or working with decals in a small space. In addition, the legibility of the alarms and the overall "cleanness" of the workmanship stand out in the 1:24 scale.
The add-on is designed for Airfix kits and is recommended for the Airfix North-American P-51D Mustang early in 1:24 scale. The assembly is designed as a JustStick: usually just detach the part, dry test the seating and glue it in place. For best results, it's worth checking the original plastic panel - if it has significant protruding details, it may be worth gently flattening them so that the etch sits cleanly and doesn't look unnecessarily layered.
The result is a significantly more realistic Mustang cockpit that will look great with the cockpit overlay open and when the finished model is normally displayed.
