The photo-etched parts give the model a finesse that injection-moulded plastic cannot offer at this scale; parts 4 and 5, together with a Space flag, are found in the follow-up BIG5377 bundle. USS Wasp is the lead ship of the US Navy's Wasp class of amphibious assault ships, with a full-length flight deck for helicopters and short take-off and vertical landing aircraft; she was commissioned in 1989.
