Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Spearhead: City of Ash is the ideal gateway to the world of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. This comprehensive set contains everything you need to immediately begin fast-paced, action-packed skirmish battles between two iconic factions - the determined human defenders of civilization and the cunning rat assassins lurking in the shadows of a ruined city.

The Sentinels of Embergard represent the power of the Cities of Sigmar - Freeguild soldiers who defend the last bastions of civilization against the forces of chaos and destruction. The army includes the charismatic leaders Jorvan Kreel, Thexa the Ash Panther and Mallus Forgepriest, complemented by the elite Freeguild Gallants and the dangerous Freeguild Grenadiers armed with explosives.

Crixxit's Kill-Pack introduces the Skaven of Clans Eshin - master assassins and saboteurs who master the art of silent killing. Led by Deathmaster Crixxit, the Night Runners and Gutter Runners move through the shadows with supernatural speed and deadly precision, backed by the explosive Bomb Rats.

The set includes a total of 42 plastic miniatures with a wealth of customization options. Freeguild Gallants offer 8 interchangeable weapons, 5 shields, 12 heads (6 bare and 6 with helmets), an optional champion and a bannerman with 2 variations of banner tops. Freeguild Grenadiers have a choice of 2 head types, and the champion can be armed with a pair of pistols or a pistol and club. Mallus Forgepriest offers a choice of 2 heads. Gutter Runners and Night Runners share the same frame, allowing them to be assembled all the same or as 10 pieces of each type.

In addition to the miniatures, the set includes a complete set of game equipment: a 72-page Warhammer Age of Sigmar Handbook, a 24-page City of Ash Battlepack with rules for skirmish battles, a double-sided folding game board, 36 Spearhead cards, 5 plastic relics as mission objectives, and 2 plastic terrain features of ruined manor houses to complete the atmosphere of a battle in a crumbling city.

The pack also includes 398 plastic components, bases of various sizes (1×40mm, 1×25mm, 4×32mm, 39×28.5mm) and a Cities of Sigmar transfer sheet with 410 high-quality water stickers. These transfers include symbols of cities such as Hammerhal Aqsha, Hammerhal Ghyra, Tempest's Eye, Vindicarum, The Living City, Misthåvn, Lethis, Excelsis, Hallowheart, Settler's Gain and Greywater Fastness, plus other Sigmarite cult and city symbols for decorating your miniatures.

City of Ash is designed as a Spearhead format - a fast-paced, dynamic game mode ideal for beginners and experienced players who want to play shorter battles without having to build large armies. Both armies are perfectly balanced for instant play right out of the box.

Miniature models require assembly and are supplied unpainted. We recommend using Citadel Tools: the Super Fine Detail Cutters for precision cutting of parts, Warhammer Colour Plastic Glue for gluing and Citadel Colour paints for painting.
