Information about the original:
The Twin Otter is a truly versatile aircraft used for all kinds of transport, as well as for reconnaissance and rescue missions, and it can land on wheels, skis, or floats. It made its maiden flight in May 1965. Production of the 100 series began in 1966, and a total of 115 aircraft rolled off the assembly line before it was replaced by the 200 series with an extended nose. It boasts, above all, excellent STOL capabilities (i.e., it requires only a short runway for takeoff and landing), which are utilized by both civilian and military fleets. The aircraft is powered by PT6A engines with 652 koní of power, enabling it to carry up to 2.6 tuny of cargo.
